Reliance Jio Infocomm, India’s largest telecommunications company, is collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) to launch a program called ‘Bharat GPT.’ This initiative aims to advance the field of artificial intelligence and develop an operating system specifically designed for televisions.
Akash Ambani, the chairman of Jio Infocomm, highlighted the significance of building an ecosystem of development within the company. He emphasized the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to transform various aspects of products and services, and expressed Jio’s commitment to integrating AI across all sectors.
The company is exploring opportunities in various domains, including media, commerce, communication, and devices. Ambani mentioned that Jio has been working on developing its own operating system for televisions and is considering a comprehensive approach for its launch.
Furthermore, Jio is enthusiastic about providing 5G private networks, offering a 5G stack to enterprises of all sizes. Ambani believes that India has the potential to become a USD 6 trillion economy by the end of the decade and views it as the most significant innovation center for the next ten years.
Ambani stressed the importance of entrepreneurship and encouraged young entrepreneurs to embrace failure as a learning opportunity. He also emphasized the need for societal responsibility, especially in the consumer space, and urged individuals to pursue their work with passion.
Technology, according to Ambani, is a great equalizer that transcends boundaries, including those of demographics and caste. Jio continuously monitors future technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation.
