Tom Bujok, CEO of No Fluff Jobs, comments on the trend, stating, “It appears that we’ve finally seen the worst in the IT industry. While we’re not at the peak of the boom years, the return to a stable and ‘normal’ market is a positive sign.” One of the most significant changes in the job market is the increasing demand for experienced professionals. A staggering 60% of job listings are now targeted at senior roles, while only 5% are aimed at junior candidates.
## Decreased Competition and Increased Job Opportunities
The competition for jobs has decreased significantly, with the average number of applications per job listing dropping by 45% year-over-year. This trend is consistent across all categories, including both entry-level and senior positions. The decrease in competition is most pronounced in AI, Fullstack, Business Analysis, and UX/UI/Design roles.
## Top Job Categories and Required Skills
The most in-demand job categories in 2025 include Backend (20.1%), Data & BI (12.4%), and Fullstack (10.5%). When it comes to required skills, the most frequently mentioned tools and programming languages are Python (23%), SQL (22%), and Java (18.5%). Employers are also increasingly looking for candidates with experience in hybrid work environments.

While remote work still dominates the IT job market (43% of listings), there is a growing trend towards hybrid work arrangements (35% of listings). The most common benefits offered by employers include private medical care (85% of listings) and gym membership cards (71%).
